Its not often that I’m overly critical regarding other peoples work especially when you can use it for free, but one the websites which I am known to frequent is in need of an overhaul, much like what happened here.

During the design period of creating a website its always beneficial to consider what people will think of the design and how accessible it will be, W3C are the kings of making sure that a website meets this brief.

Blindly adding content in columns is fine and I understand that you want a quick loading website, but when you use add in Java or php which loads at a really slow pace something really needs to be looked at.  You only use basic html, develop it, use php or asp it will work much better.

You push into me getting on the train and don’t appologise, yes we all know your the size of an ox but you don’t really need the space which I take up to facilate it gigantism.

We know you suffer from PTPS (Pushy Train Passenger Syndrome) and this cause you to become a jabbering music blaring baboon.

You really must form an understaning of humanity and stop being a syncopated moron.

Frankly it’s getting to the point now that I’m bored of this subject being bounded around in various online guises.  We all know that the current library is unfit for purpose; it leaks, damages priceless collections and is too small, in short we need a new one.

The earmarked land between Baskerville House and The Rep has been just that for several years and now that the architects have been appointed (Mecanoo) and the contracts signed it would seem that the all is go for lift off and the beginning of a new era for literacy.

What puzzles me still however is that people are actually lobbying to keep the old building! Why?  Just answer me that….

As you can see the banner and some other things have changed to make way for our latest event. I think depression is something that needs to be out in the open, its something that affects a huge percentage of the population and seldom is talked of.

The purpose of this event is to outline what its about, what it does and why its a problem.

Over the next few days we’ll have a full mini site which will have my story and some facts on it.
