    Birmingham City Council’s New Website….

Posted in Breaking News at 11:54 on Tuesday, September 8th, 2009 by Mr. Rant

    New site? No...

    New site? No...

After nearly two years of waiting and work within the council to ensure that it has a 21st century design, the new site has this morning been launched.  Are we impressed?

    No.

For a start the content still looks the same, a blank page with text on it. Exciting? No.  Informative? Not really.  The new design is effectively the old site re-skinned, it makes you wonder if BCC were actually trying to make the site better or just change the design for the sake of it.  I hope that over the next few weeks the site will be updated with all the new features you would expect: RSS being the biggest.

For now you can view the site here: Birmingham City Council’s New Website.
