It’s that time of year again! December is upon and in just 24 days it will be Christmas and the year will be over again.  As you can see the Christmas theme for this year has been launched and minus a few tweaks it will be around until new years day.  I’m at that point now that I hate, I have lots of shopping to do and you, dear reader know how much I despise that past time.

I’ve already had a run-in with a shopper last week at Birmingham’s Glorious German Market, of course I was as ever minding my own business when some oath pushed in-front of me and stole my place in the bratwusrt queue, of course being the fattie that I am, my stomach took an instant disliking to this chap.  I could feel the churning starting, the vitriol beginning to rise in my throat, threatening act as a rudimentary weapon of mass destruction.  I took a step back out of pity for this man who was about to feel the force of my guts.

Thank god for him he didn’t feel it.  All was well.

I hate them, little fuckers.  Why Mr. Pigeon can’t you fly in a straight line, do you have to duck and dive over the heads of everyone in sight? Do you have to leave your excrement upon the ground for us all to see?

I really would like some form of pigeon control device, you could use it to fly them toward a chav and get them dive bombed by several hundred pigeons, now there is an idea to patent!

I’ll be the first to admit that I have a bad memory.  I cannot remember the simplest of things.  I forget virtually everything; I really have an issue when it comes to remembering songs.  This morning I have spent the best part of an hour searching for a song that was released at least ten years ago and I cannot for the life of me remember what it is entitled or indeed who the artist was! How annoying!

So reader is your memory as bad as mine? Do you have a mind like a sieve?

Theme of the Week: Spam.

So the G20 summit has kicked off today and so have the protests.  There has been an esitimated four thousand people holding a “peaceful” protest in the centre of London.  Contrary to popular opinion I have no problem with people talking about and making their views aired, what I do have a problem with is when you have to force your opinions upon the country.  It seems that the police are doing an excellent job in London controlling these mindless, violent liberals from causing too much trouble.

How can you possibly describe todays protests as peaceful, when officers have been injured and when property has been damaged?

You can’t it’s that simple.

As you can see this little old blog is back to it’s usual styling.  I’m sad to see the crazy background of noses go I really liked them. Kind of psychedelic. Anyway, it’s back to being it’s usual boring self.

I plan to do some major redesign work in the next few weeks, so watch out for some updates, better integration with Twitter and the beginnings of my “Have a Rant on me campaign!”.   You should see changes in the next few days when I start recoding and jigging the page designs around.  So it should be a few interesting and exciting weeks for this blog.

Now on with The Rant…

I’ve always been a supporter of some charities, even though I’m miserable and most of the time screaming at the world I do like to make a difference if I can.  I support a wildlife charity called Secret World, it’s not by any stretch of the imagination anything remotely kinky, it’s mostly about badgers.  I support them mainly because our natural wildlife is so pushed these days to survive with the problems we’ve caused for it, that it needs the intervention of ‘man’ to help out every now and then; and besides I like badgers.

Something grated on me last night.  I usually enjoy Comic Relief; it’s good wholesome fun – most of the time.  However something made me see it in a new light.  It’s been said many things that Comic Relief is all about Africa and for the most part it is; it is this with which I disagree.  Charity starts at home is what I was always told and to me that’s the way it should be.  I understand and get why we need to help people in other countries that’s a basic human compunction, the need to help; ‘human nature’.

It annoys me vehemently that in a time of recession at home we’re being told that we should put our hands in our pockets and support people with the little money we have or not as the case is likely to be.  As I said I’m not a hard person… much but I really started to disagree with Comic Relief last night. I have a pang of guilt writing this but it needed to be said and someone needed to say it.

It’s come to this again.  It’s come to the fact that I feel compelled again to write yet another post about “celebrites” on Twitter.  If you have been living in a hole and don’t know what Twitter is, I’ll give you a very brief overview of the idea behind it.

Twitter is a micro-blogging website.  This site that your at right now is a blog.  It’s personal to me and that’s what Twitter is.  It’s there for you to update, to broadcast and to inform people so that they know what you are doing or what you’re thinking or just to enlighten people.

Celebs have missed the point of it.  It’s becoming shameless promotion, a tool for celebs so that they can get something back, mainly admiration.  It’s nice to have people following your updates but when people are following celebs because they are just that is not what Twitter is about.

Lets hope this changes before it goes to far.
